I’m an IT professional with more than 25 years of experience in different roles ultimately focusing on highly available infrastructures and observability. Recent responsibilities include:
- define and implement Observability solutions to support internal stakeholders requirements, provide a central (single pane of glass) observability platform across multiple data centers/cloud regions and data types (metrics, logs and traces),
- defining and help adopting a modern incident response workflow and related activities (debriefing, postmortems, roles, etc),
- performing software (self hosted or SaaS) selection for the three pillars of observability with specific adoption process,
- standardize, document, onboard and support current and future solutions including migrations between platforms,
- implement (infrastructure|configuration)-as-code for all supported platforms,
- hiring process to find good talents for the observability team.
Specialties and past activities (summary):
- Senior consultant and integrator (with extensive experience of best-of-breed integration between open source and closed source solutions for observability)
- Solution architect and project management
- Cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, Openstack
Abilities and attitudes:
- passion for IT!

- I like to push forward: constantly testing my knowledge and methods to be sure that I am using/providing the best solutions possible

Life at Nearform is dynamic and enjoyable. Our partnership with Grafana Labs allows me to assist customers in migrating their observability solution to the big tent philosophy of Grafana Labs either as a SaaS (Grafana Cloud) or FOSS/Enterprise flavours. Specifically I am involved in all aspects of the migration from Dynatrace to Grafana Cloud and Grafana Enterprise in China for a major European automotive company. Technologies: Github Actions, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), ArgoCD, ESO and other operators, mixins, glue code (Python/Shell).
🌍 Location: Turin (fully remote).
